About the Materials

STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is super strong, hypoallergenic, and will never rust or tarnish. It is a slightly darker silver colour than sterling, but it is much, much harder.

BRIGHT ALUMINUM

Bright aluminum is ultra-lightweight, shiny and clean. It is treated, so it will never tarnish. It's a bright silver colour with a cool undertone.

STERLING SILVER

Sterling Silver is made from 92.5% silver. It is a bright shiny material that does tarnish with age. It is recommended that you store silver jewelry in sealed plastic bags when it is not being worn to minimize the tarnish.

ANODIZED NIOBIUM**

Niobium is strong, corrosion resistant, and hypoallergenic. Each colour contains some of the adjacent colours on the spectrum, which lends the metal a beautiful oil-slick quality. It is similar in strength and weight to sterling silver. The anodized layer is strong, but not indestructible.

ANODIZED ALUMINUM**

Anodized aluminum comes in all sorts of funky colours, is super lightweight, and will never tarnish.

**Fun Fact: Anodizing is a coating process to coat metal with a protective oxide layer by an electrolytic process in which the metal forms the anode. Translation: It turns both niobium and aluminum into magical unicorn metals.

EPDM RUBBER

EPDM is a lightweight, stretchy, latex free rubber. It is UV resistant and FDA approved.
